Aggressive Representation in the Atlanta Metro Area

If you are considering divorce or are already a party to a marital breakup, you want an aggressive attorney to protect your rights. You want a lawyer who knows the law and who will help you identify your options, so that you can make informed decisions that are in your best interests.

At the law offices of Miller & Brown PC, we aggressively protect the rights of men and women in family law matters, including all issues related to divorce. Because we understand the importance of getting prompt responses to your questions and concerns, we assign two lawyers to every case. There will always be more than one person familiar with the circumstances and status of your case. Though we have considerable experience in the courtroom, we will never take your case to trial at your expense. When appropriate, we will make every effort to save you time and money by resolving your differences through mediation. When mediation does not work, our attorneys are prepared to fight an all-out courtroom battle for you.

Contact our offices or call us at 678-723-4174 or toll-free at 1-866-393-0302 to set up a free initial consultation.

Our Divorce Practice

We work closely with men and women at all stages of a contested or uncontested divorce, from the decision to file through negotiated settlements, mediation or trial to post-judgment requests for enforcement or modification. We handle simple and complex divorce proceedings, as well as matters involving difficult spouses. Our attorneys are not afraid to take cases that are bitterly contested.

We handle all matters related to or arising out of a divorce, including

  • The equitable distribution of marital debts and assets. We will help you reach an agreement or get a judgment in court on the division of marital property, including real estate, bank accounts and investments, retirement assets (generally through a QDRO), and business property.
  • Child custody. We will help you put in place custody and visitation plans that are in the best interests of your children while protecting your rights as a parent.
  • Child support. We will review all proposed child support orders for compliance with Georgia's guidelines. We will also make certain that all relevant income is included in the calculation.
  • Alimony or spousal support. We will help you determine whether a grant of alimony is appropriate and, if so, how much should be paid for how long.
  • Enforcement or modification of existing divorce orders. We will help you through contempt proceedings or seek modification if circumstances change dramatically.
